  sometimes control tactics backfire especially when directed to a mothers child.

  she is pissed bigtime at some in the hall who keep thier kids away from our son.

  she has seen the mental abuse before but this affects her and the maternal instinct kicks in.

  How to politely refuse a last chance meeting with the elders?

  the elders are giving me a chance to meet up with them a last time in order to try to prevent a disfellowshipping.

  one of the elders will call me in two days to see what i think because i told him that i don't want to be in the religion anymore.

  how can i politely and painlessly refuse?

  Did you ever do something for this religion that now makes you shudder ?

  back in the early 80's right after i was married the main driving point i kept hearing at the meetings was "do more,,, pioneer ".. well being the young impressionable jw couple that we were, .

  my wife is a speech therapist, so working pt was no problem, but i ended up working construction, cleaning carpets, and shoveling snow at all hours with the brothers, and i worked like a d*** fool at all hours.. funny how there was so much support for me to work with the witnesses, but once the decision was made work could be very iffy at times.. and the main thing that just causes me to cringe now is how so many of the witnesses in charge of the congregation thought that we did not need insurance, my wife had a policy with her school district, but my son and i did not.

  granted medical expenses were not as bad then, but just the idea of thinking that we did not need it that god would watch over us just embarasses me to no end now.

  I gave money...and time. I was sponsible for the accounts. I shoulda reached in the contribution boxes and grabbed the cash every meeting and gave it to the poor....

  By the way..I worked in the accounts dept. at the Dodger Stadium assemblies. They used to bring in cash...and PILE it on tables to be counted and sorted. PILES I said...... MOUNDS.....

  as you know i have, for many years now, related to you that i hear the voice of the dog shepherd, the smoked one of hades and vodka spirits, auhsehaj hajahcisim [abbreviated in the ancient texts as grim, a four consonant tetragrammaton meaning smoke, drunk, and savior].

  over such years i have received many questions and comments, and engaged in various debates regarding the validity of that name and my translation of it's transmutations throughout the ages including several redacted engagements of the original name.

  a federal judge in california has issued an injunction barring enforcement of "don't ask, don't tell," the federal law banning service by open homosexuals in the armed forces.. u.s. district judge virginia phillips of riverside, calif., who on sept. 9 found that the law was unconstitutional, granted the global injunction on tuesday.

  she wrote that without the injunction, "there is no adequate remedy at law to prevent the continued violation of servicemembers' rights or to compensate them for violation of their rights.".

  do you agree that there should not be a mosque in the area that was wiped out by muslim extremists?

  on the view, it was discussed with bill o'reilly and the ladies of the view.

  joy behar and whoopie flipped because bill said "muslims" were responsible for the carnage there and it would not be appropriate for a mosque in that area.. what do you think?.

  Perhaps there are other area's that a gay can serve our country in, like being President for example.... I'm sure a gay President or Vice President would be fine. Wouldn't it be lovely to see a gay President and his boyfriend move into the White House?
